I had a good day out in Cambridge last week with the D800, although I should of taken the D700. I still prefer the D700 for street photography, I find it a much easier camera to handle and use instinctively. It also works well with the Nikon 50mm 1.4G prime lens. I will get around to checking the images out and seeing what needs to be done...
Photography makes you poor.................unless you get lucky with a few art sales or you want to be a full time wedding photographer! I had this conversation the other day with a friend of mine. I have completed a number of weddings in the past, its a skill on its own which I was good at. The day itself was always enjoyable, the post processing not so! Commercial work is much the same when working to a brief, the chance to experiment and let the creative side flow is often not an option. This year is a Photollery year, too much going on with moving and the like. It gives me a chance to work on my own work and not anybody else's.
Hopefully a few art sales along the way will help!
Photollery follows my passion for photography. I am lucky to be a full time photographer, I just hope one day my Photollery work is good enough to gain a wider audience and keep me supplied with coffee!
